This is a new in bag DIY electronic boost controller (EBC). I ordered this along with my mspnp a while back and never installed it. My MBC works well enough where I don't feel like installing the EBC.

 

is this a PNP only thing or compatible with DIY ms-1 2.2?

It's pretty much sold at this point, but to answer your question: it looks like it needs a boost control circuit for MS1 boards:

You have to check if you need to add those ICs. My PNP came with the necessary hardware from DIY and I'm not an expert on this.
