I have a 91 1.6L Engine (long nose) with 203k miles on it for sale. I upgraded to a 1.8 this sping. The 1.6 ran well and compression checked out good and no more than 10psi difference between cylinders.
Would be a cheap running swap for someone with a broke Short Nose crank. Or a great core to do a rebuild with. I was going to rebuild it and sell as refreshed motor, but do not have the funds to do it at this time.

I am selling the engine without accessories or coils for $80, it has to go, make an offer. I also have a tranny that came out at the same time for $70. I have all the 1.6 related engine parts as well (intake tube, ECU, AFM, ect.) pm me for a price on those items.

Please pickup only, no shipping, so don't ask. I doubt it would be worth paying twice the cost of teh engine for shipping in any case. I would be willing to meet somene within 150 miles of Columia, SC for a small gas fee.

I know the pictures suck, PM me if you are looking for better ones. I also have video of the engine running and doing the compression check before it got pulled.

 

Great deal. If I didn't already have a spare 1.8 in my garage to swap into my DD I would be picking it up to replace my 320k 1.6l motor.

 

If this wasn't 400 miles away i would pic it up tomorrow. Would you be willing to pull out the crank, crank pulley, and oil pump and ship it to me? I'm rebuilding my short nosed 1.6 now and i'm looking for the long nose crank parts for the swap. I'll pay the shipping.

Props to the OP - basically giving away the motor and is still willing to meet someone within 150 miles for gas money only! I would grab this in a heartbeat if I was closer.

 

This is a long nose 1.6. You would be surprized how hard it is to get rid of. I would have junked it by now, but I just can't do that to a running engine.

 

If you are serious about getting this motor we might be able to make it happen this weekend. Lexington is not to far out of my way on the way to Atlanta.

 

I can't find a 1.6 to save my life in my parts. I'm gonna have to drive 2 hours to Dallas. I wish you'd ship that thing. But if Shuiend is getting it I'm not mad. He's been pretty good to me.

 

I am hoping to have someone come pick it up tonight (all the 1.6 crap). I will let you guys know if I don't sell it though.
