Default Full Palm Tune setup includeing Palm IIIc!

Hey guys, I need some money so here is my palm tune setup. The IIIc is full color, which is nice. The battery lasts a long time (is new..), and the palm works great. I include all the cables needed for the megasquirt, along with a mount I made with Velcro on the back.

The palm also has some games installed for fun. It should be plug and play for megasquirts with newer firmware, but if needed you might have to change just a few settings, which is documented here:

Do those just use a standard 9-pin connector? Pretty easy to tune with? I am just curious and might pick one up for my Link.

yeah, you just have to buy a adaptor (the orange thing in my pic) I forget what its called...

Works fine, laptop is quicker to tune with but the portability on this is awesome.

Ill get pics of it in the car later.

I'm not an interested party as I already have one, but thought I'd throw in my 2¢ since palmlog doesn't get mentioned a whole lot around here. The adapter in your pic is a gender changer. I forget if a null modem adapter is also required, but I can look in my car when I get home. You can edit tables with PalmTune, and monitor status & take logs with PalmLog. Screenshots here and here.

I datalog every track session with my Palm IIIxe. I don't want to subject my laptop to track abuse with vibration and the possibility of it getting tossed about the vehicle. The palm is great because you can start a log while you're sitting in grid and then just place it in the door pocket or on the floor next to the seat, and it stays put pretty well.

It can capture logs at 5-6 Hz in regular mode, but I always use burst mode (logs more data at 19-20 Hz but gauges don't update in real time). Then transfer to the laptop and analyze & tune with MLV. The file transfer takes some time when you logged a 30 min track session in burst mode, but the portability is so worth it. I don't know how I'd log on track without a palmlog setup. It's a bonus that they're cheap enough to be semi-disposable if you happen to kill one.
