Early model without defogger. This thing is in damn near perfect shape. It's been re-painted, but you have to *really* look closely to see a few little bits of overspray on the trim strip. Has absolutely zero chips / scratches / etc. Includes hoist. Make an offer (and don't be a jackass):

Although if he's trying to sell it quickly i don't think $500 is unreasonable. Last top i bought was pristine and and I paid $300 for it... then flipped it for $850. yeah I'm a dick.. lol.

 

I'm not trying to sell it quickly. Frankly, the top isn't burdensome, since I have a Miata to store it on if need be.

$500 is unreasonable. $1k is reasonable.

 

also him trying to pick everything up today like a complete douche canoe when you clearly stated you have people in line is unreasonable.

 

Whoever picks up the free motor and forged assembly needs to buy this hardtop for $1K, sell it for whatever they can and consider the loss a really cheap motor. Just my $.02.

Because I almost never actually use it in the first place. The top spends 99.5% of its time hanging from the ceiling of the garage, and I figure it should go to someone who will actually want it.

 

Makes sense, good luck with selling it.

 

Is the top tinted or is it just me seeing things?

 

The side windows on the car are tinted (poorly.)

The rear window is not tinted. It is OEM, unmolested.

Were it not for a bit of overspray on the moulding, this top would almost pass for factory-new.

 

I want it, I'm local. I'll be back in the area for the 4th of july weekend (on pre-deployment leave in OH now), assuming it will fit an '01 I'll give you $750 for it.
