Default Keegan Engineering hand ported BP4W *PROJECT*

*NEEDS WORK*

$200 + shipping.
I recently shipped a VVT head to Utah for ~$85

This is a project for a someone who has a local shop that can line-hone a camshaft journal, or the budget racer who doesn't value their time and is willing to gamble on a little elbow grease and sandpaper along with a donor valvetrain.

BP4W cylinder head hand ported, bowl blend, de-shrouded, etc by Keegan Engineering in southern California. This was my first attempt at an "80/20" budget built n/a race motor.
This head made mid 150whp through simple I/H/E/e85, on a stock 135k mile 99 bottom end with stock cams. Similar heads had made well into the 160s and we now know why mine was shy of expectations at the time(debris in the oil)
Intake cam journal #3 has debris damage bad enough that Keegan didn't want to reuse it. I kept it on the shelf but have been unable to find a shop locally with a small enough line hone tool/cutter to properly repair/rebuild it and have begun Kswapping my car.

Comes as pictured, with cams and caps, but missing 3 cap bolts. Guides were fresh and have less than 10 hours on them. This engine died a premature death at my hands due to debris from the previous engine failure that was left in the oil cooler.

I can ship, but please know what it is that you're buying.
Several folks have told me they've sanded down worse and sent it "just fine", a shockingly few number of people have told me it is 100% scrap metal.

Priced to reflect the risk/investment.

I'd carefully sand the grooves out of the bottom/head and find a new cap (along with the 3 bolts and new intake cam). The load is on the cap and the grooves on the head side would hold more oil/be better than stock...yeahhhh. haha.

That is exactly the idea, just not something Mike wanted to put his name on, so I sourced a new donor longblock.
