LS Coil Conversion
(SOLD)
Selling my DIY LS coil conversion (start of a partout). Includes 4 coils, connectors, leads, and 4 custom Magnacore wires. The wires were ordered directly from Magnacore to have LS coil connectors with Miata spark plug boots, so they just plug in. The lengths are too long, thanks to an error in measuring, but they worked for me for 2 years.
The wiring is already set up for sequential ignition, and I am leaving my Hydra pins on the wires in case the buyer also has a Hydra.
I did have to replace the 12v switched power wire once, and the ground wire once due to what I assume is vibration induced weakening of the wire. My work isn't the best, so you may opt to have your own 12v and ground wires (or any other wires if you wish).
Not quite plug and play since this DOES completely ignore the OE wiring harness, you WILL have to have an aftermarket ECU, and you WILL have to figure out the correct pinning. I have included a picture of how I had it installed.
$100 plus shipping from 98284 (should fit in a flatrate box).
