My order is placed. Thanks for putting this together.

Thanks for the orders guys!
|
Thank you, can't wait to receive these awesome brackets!!
|
Updates coming this evening! I received some parts in, and I'm anxious to put them together. :)

Here they are!
First impressions: They look REALLY good! Fitment is tight, but I knew it had to be to make this work. I'm glad the brace idea was brought up, because I'm confident it's going to worth the cost of entry. It would probably be ok without it, but it should be rock solid with it. The brace pieces are still a few days out, so we won't be shipping any just yet. I'm confident we should have them by mid next week, and start shipping them late next week (worst case the begining of the following week). **If you didn't order the brace, I would highly suggest you do. I'm going to make it an included item from here on out, just to alleviate any potential customer issues** https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1465606724 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1465606724 |
Just got the call. The braces will be complete tonight. I'll pick them up tomorrow, and if at all possible I'll get them shipped out Friday. :)
Thanks for your continued support! |
All Pre-Orders shipping today!
|
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, I am going to be one of the first ones to put pictures of your brackets as soon as I receive them. Thank you the Bandit!!!! |

Downmented,
I had intended to have the "meaty" part of the bracket in the rear (opposite of what you have shown), but I suppose you can mount it the other way if you desire. :) Looks good! Thanks! Michael |

you still have them in stock? |
Just saw your order come through. :) Your parts will be sent out tomorrow.
After your order we've only got one more set of brackets in stock, but we will be making another order this week which should be available in about 1.5 weeks. Thanks everyone! |

Thanks for your order. We don't have a plug and play harness available at this time, but it is on the list. I'll certainly keep you in mind as we get to working on that product. Thanks, Michael |
We have another set or two available. I'm planning another run of these shortly. Feel free to post here or in our main thread with any product requests! :)
|
Just placed an order, and so did my friend George, from Jax, FL. Can't wait!

Thanks for the orders folks!
We've got another batch coming in next week! :) |
For those interested, we will have coil plug wires available within the next few weeks for both the 90-00 and 01-05 VVT engines. :)
:bigtu: |
Definitely in! Plug and play wiring harness next? Starting to think if I'm lazy and procrastinate enough I won't have to fab much for my build myself........
|
+100 on plug and play harness. i will buy one the instant its available.
|
Same here on harness.
Will order a set of plug wires when available. |
OP if you don't mind I am going to borrow some of your pics to put a forsale ad. I ended designing my own bracket due to the fact I am using the LS3 coils from Hydra.
Thank you, let me know. Eli |
Hoping to have a test set of plug wires in this week! :bigtu:

We're going to be ordering our first batch of plug wire kits and I'd some feedback from those interested to see what the split between 90-00 (non-VVT) and 01-05 (VVT). I'm assuming we'll get a few more of the non-VVT variety, but I'd prefer to confirm if possible.

What manufacturer are the wires from? ngk, Magnecor?
in for vvt set, depending on cost |
The Bandit:
I highly recommend you contact Rick at Firecore50 to make the custom wires for your col pack mounts. I have custom wires in my NB and they are far superior than the Magnecor from Flyin Miata. Please research Firecore50 sparks plug wires or see below. http://firecore50.com/ |
I might be in for a set of both. I've got a MSM head right now but planning on switching to a VVT at some point. I'm also curious if you have any details about the wires you are planning to use. Willing to pay a little extra for some nice quality.
|
Here are a few pictures of the non-VVT setup on one of the rear cars. The wires are high quality and black in color. Very comparable for the aftermarket options available for the factory coils.
I should have final pricing available shortly. The VVT set will be a little higher than the other but not by much. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...cd6750f10d.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...860f243642.jpg |
In for the non-VVT set AND in for a PNP harness (that's the only thing that's kept me on the fence)
|
I'm in for a VVT set.
I'd also buy a PNP harness if it was available. |
In for a non-VVT set w/coils & harness.
|
in for VVT wires with plug and play harness.
|
We're going to do another pre-order for the wires just like we did with the brackets. And the best part.... pre-order pricing discount!
Standard Pricing 90-00 (Non-VVT) - $65 shipped 01-05 (VVT) - $70 shipped $5 off either set when you use the pre-order on our website. https://squareup.com/store/hawleyper...oil-plug-wires Lead time will be a few weeks, especially as we are coming up on the holidays. I'll keep everyone apprised as we move forward. I will plan to order the first batch of wires on Monday Nov 21. :bigtu: |

As much as I'd like to say we will have a PnP harness available soon, it's probably not the cards at this time. As always I definitely appreciate the suggestions. They certainly don't go unheard. :)
It's on the list of things to pursue, but if I'm going to release it I want it to be rock solid for all the platforms. It's just not there currently, and I don't have quite enough time to devote to getting it to that point at this time. Thanks for all the order so far! |
VVT set ordered.

Who is the manufacturer of the coils you offer? Actually - let's not answer it that way due to pricing implications. Better question is - are they the OEM brand or are they aftermarket?
Thanks! |

Today is the day folks! Only a little while left to get in on the pre-order.
Thanks everyone for your orders! |

Good News!
I'll be unpacking the wires this weekend and sorting them out for shipment in the first part of next week. Get excited! :bigtu: |
Update: I've been dealing with a very sick furry family member at home that ended Monday afternoon with having to put her down. I'm sorry but this has shifted the shipping schedule back a bit. I'm hoping to get as many orders ready for shipment this evening as I can. I will make sure everyone gets an email update as soon as that happens with tracking information like always.
Again, I apologize for the delay. |
Sorry to hear that. Do what you gotta do (it's not like I'm going to slap this right in tonight).
|
Sorry for the delay on these parts.
Most order will be in the mail today, unless you include the coils themselves. Those orders will go out tomorrow. Thanks and Happy Holidays! |
All kits that included coils will be in the mail today.
Thanks as always for supporting the business! :bigtu: |
It arrived today safe & sound (although all the air bags were popped?).
I guess I shouldn't have bought 4 coil pigtails? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...8d312fa923.jpg Thanks! Will get some pics when it's installed. |
PM sent regarding shipping to Europe
|
Here's a little detail on the harness pinout. I basically just re wrapped the one pictured above mostly for fun. I labeled the connectors with colored tape for reference.
The male connector that mates to the GM harness pigtail is available from Ballenger: Home » Shop » Connectors / Harnesses » Delphi / Packard » Pigtails » GM Delphi / Packard - 8 way (1 blocked) metripack 150 sealed male assembly for main coil bank connector Pigtail, gray Of course, the coil connectors pin out as: A=power ground B=signal ground C=ignition signal D=+12v The harness connector pins out as: A-A (power ground) E-B (signal ground) H-D (+12v) B-C(signal blue) C-C(signal white) F-C(signal yellow) G-C(signal green) https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...318edf94e1.jpg |

I can't seem to get the spark plug boots to seat all the way down. I'm guessing the "hat brims" should seat flush with the valve cover? Has anyone had to trim the lip off the tip of the boot to get them to seat all the way?
This is as far as I could mash it down. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...04fc4c4d80.jpg I'm wondering if I should shave off the extra rib thing on the tip of the shank. Just the tip. That's what she said. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...361f897b13.jpg |
