Hi everyone, most of you don't know this, but my day job is running a driving school. In the past two weeks I had to temporarily lay off 50 employees, which was the hardest thing I've had to do in my life. These are people who believed in me enough to leave what they were doing and join the team, and who I committed to support, and I've had to put them into the hands of the system for them to make ends meet because we didn't have any other options. After a very chaotic month I got out into the garage today to fiddle with my car for first time in a long time, and it just made the world of difference.

FlowForce, and more broadly, working on my car, is what I do for fun. I know there are a lot of folks out there who are newly out of work or seeing their livelihoods bottoming out. The emotions we feel at times like this are real, and if any of you are like me, just spending an hour in the garage hunting for a 10mm can be a highlight of your week. Basic drivers ed. As in, kids in Prii rather than grown men (in age, not necessarily maturity) in Miatae.

 

I ordered some injectors on friday from you! (#761) Because of all this, my car touched the ground again for the first time in a year. Its amazing what having free time will do. Well... really expensive free time.
