Default Mazda 3.636:1 final drive and speedo gear, new in the box.

I have a 3.636:1 final drive gearset from Miataroadster.com sold to me for $575.00 plus tax and shipping, and the electronic speedo gear needed to make your spedometer read correctly with this final drive sold to me for $138.15 plus tax and shipping. I paid a total of $713.15 I am asking $525 for the gears and $125 for the speedo gear, or a combo deal of $600 for both.

SOLD Spedo gear is sold for $125 shipped!

I also have all the stuff needed to do the installation into your rear end assembly, pinion nose lock nut, pinion nose seal, pinion bearing front, pinion bearing rear, pinion distance piece, differential side seal (x2), differential side bearing (x2). All this cost me $218, I am asking $175, or $150 if packaged with the other items.

SOLD Installation parts sold for $175 shipped.

And last but not least I have a rear end assembly ready for the above parts to be installed into, I think it is a 3.90:1 torsen but I am not 100% sure on that. I think it is a torsen, since it would make no sense to give up my 4.3:1 torsen to go to an open 3.636:1 Is there any way to check with the diff sitting out of the car in my back room? Anyway, if it is a torsen 3.9 I want $600, if it is open I would want $150... now tell me how to check it and I will take it apart and take pictures

UPDATE!
Looked through my PM's to see if I need to delet anything to make room for PM trafic due to sales and found the PM's from buying the rear end, it is a 3.9 torsen that I purchased for $600 plus shipping. Since it has been sitting unused (no new wear and tear) I would like to get $600 for it when I sell it, bringing the whole package deal price to $1300.

UPDATE 2!!! Just looked at the ad from when I purchased the rear end to get milage information... it is actually a 4.1:1 torsen out of a 1996 with 155,000 mile on it that was used with redline differential fluid. I will start a new thread for this item since most of the stuff in this thread is already sold.

Pictures available to interested buyers via PM... photobucket sucks now a days!

Later,

Keith

Miata.net has a good write up for how to check for a torsen in the garage section.
