Default Mazda Miata 6-Speed Transmission (Mazdaspeed) - $660 (Albuquerque)

Craigslist, no affiliation.

For Sale is a 6-Speed Transmission for the Mazda Miata. This came out of my 2004 Miata Mazdaspeed at 34,000 miles. Its in very good condition, comes with the shifter, and is a great upgrade for your Miata.

This will drop in all 1999-2005 Miatas. It can also be used in 1990-1997 Miatas (just re-use your speedo sender). A good transmission shop should be able to put this in for
about $350, if needed.

The Mazdaspeed transmission is sturdier than the regular Miata transmissions. The gears are shot-peened hardened and are built to deal with the high horsepowered turbos (and
spirited driving).

Mazda only made 5300 of the Mazdaspeed Miatas so these sturdier transmissions are hard to find used.

E-mail me with questions or to setup a time to see it.

Yeah, you do. You click on the craigslist link and it's not there. Then you know.

Thanks again. Never used craigslist, so did not understand that. Just thought it was a lost link. Also, what does the No Affiliation mean?

Mean's OP was just posting this as a heads up to the community, he was not the seller of the transmission.

Are MazdaSpeed transmissions actually stronger than the regular 6-speed?

He's just lashing out because his N/A build is turning into as big a hassle as his turbo build.

That's back when my car was reliable and had a turbo.

Now look, you better have a 6-speed for sale or I'm going to ban everyone.
