This is a 2004 Mazdaspeed carrier with Giken limited slip with a 3.6 Mazda ring and pinion. The aluminum brace is from Treasure Coast Miata. The notched passenger side has been plated and welded where they break.


These are 2004 Mazdaspeed axles that go with the differential.
This is the OS Giken Super Lock LSD is installed in the diff.

Can you post a link of the other side with the diff housing? Are both arms welded with reinforcements or just one? Why go this route instead of the FC housing?

Sure has been welded - because it boke? No sign of plate, AIUI the plate goes over the notch so we should be seeing it?

The brace of which you speak, is that the unseen reinforcement plate for the notch, or is that the diff housing/arms?

Some more photos would be good, as would a price.

This is the plated side. I broke my other housing at the notch. I wanted to finish the year without looking for another brace. I bought this one from Treasure Coast Miata.
