are you just selling one of these?

Neilv 06-28-2016 02:59 PM

I had 3 made for my own personal cars and a few extras because I figured I cannot be the only one who wanted one of these. I can also have more made if the demand is greater.

I am not a business but if this is a breach of the FS rules please let me know so I can change/update.

I just don't want our vendors to get upset. If they are ok with it, then I don't care. I guess we'll see.

Here is a quick installed photo in my spare Mazdaspeed pan. Only real differences are a few rib changes and the oil separator drain tube. Will get some better pictures as soon as I can.

Are there any problem between T304 Stainless steel and Aluminum?

Honestly not sure what youre referring to. Factory plate is just mild steel and this get sandwiched between that and the aluminum pan with stock bolts. No welding required.

I'm in for one if you make more.

I think stainless steel reacts with aluminum and causes corrosion.

Does stainless react with aluminium?

I would also be interested in one. .094- .125" aluminum would be my choice.

Nope no issues. Factory plate is mild steel as well as the bolts. Steel is worse for corrosion with aluminum than 304 is and no one seems to have ever had an issue. Plus, both are covered in oil at all times so that would eliminate any corrosion.

Got my baffle in the mail today! Thank you very much, excited to put this in my pan tomorrow and finally put my pan on the engine.

just FYI, I think the baffle will work far better if there is next to no gap around the sides, especially at the front of the baffle. When the oil is at temp it actually flows fairly well so under sustained braking you need it to stop the oil from flowing out of the pan to the front of the sump. If there is a gap on either side you'll lose lots of oil from the pan in a few seconds of braking.

This is mine... it was cut by hand but made for a sung fit. I have datalogged this under brakes and it does prevent oil starvation under sustained high G braking.

These are nice. Do you have any more? Also need a spare oil pan if you have one for a 1.8 from 94
