I am putting my NB1/2 engine up for sale! It isn't legal to have in my car for my solo class and my original engine just turned over 200k miles. I'm open to trading for a low mileage (~100k) strong NA 1.8. Otherwise I want the cash to peice together one of my other bare blocks.

-<10% leak-down test(HF special )
-Compression checked out great, need to dig up the numbers. They are within 3psi of each other and it was a healthy 190+ psi.
-new gates timing belt
-new front main and rear main seals.

Getting shipping quotes from $200-$350 on a pallet, engine completely assembled. Wondering if seperating the head and block might lower the costs, lol.

I would much rather prefer a local sell, though. I want this thing gone by the end of September!

I've got some local interest in it, nothing confirmed though. Ideally, I would trade this engine for a low mileage NA 1.8 with some cash on top from the "buyer", depending on mileage. Money talks, as always. I think I would have a hard time finding a NA 1.8 locally if I were to get straight cash though, so I'm pretty firm on my asking price.

 

I'd buy this if you were local. After shipping 1,000+ for a 120k motor kills it though.

Yeah, shipping is just about out of the question. I've heard some people use a GreyHound bus, but it would be up to the buyer if they were ok with that.
