I'm working on the design of this ECU. The board will be standard with sequential injector drivers however when used on an NA6 the end user will need to add the circuits to the ECU connector in two empty cavities on the connector (same used by NA8) since the standard harness is set up for batch fuel.

Also yes MS2 is a bit primitive but it gets the job done and is relatively cheap.

This is sweet, I really wish it was around when I bought my used MS2PnP for about the same price. IMO, for most 200whp beginner builds, this is perfect. There's very few places to screw up (relatively), it provides all the functionality most of those 200whp people need at a good price, plus you get all the support and forum info that comes with running MS. Definitely going to start mentioning this more to people who ask about lower budget standalones rather than Speeduino.

I have a MS3X on my miata and I run a speeduino on a turbo F-150. I haven't personally used a MS2 but I've attempted to help enough people on here to be familiar with it. The MS2 feature list is indeed weaksause compared to the speeduino, but the MS2 absolutely wins in the support area. If you just want it to work with limited hassle and don't care at all about the additional price or feature limitations go MS2. If you're willing to spend more time tinkering and you want the lowest cost option or you need features that MS2 can't provide then go speeduino.

There is room for both options IMO.

The only really bad about the MS2 is that it has very little ram and flash. Oh, and the Burn-stumble. Otherwise, given its cost, it's really good.

I think these are really cool. I have been looking at $700 programmable distributors for old datsuns. When all I really need is this with an adapted cam sensor and an ecu harness. I could run individual coils wasted spark.

I remember when I learned that ms3 didn't do that in Nigel's car way back. I was like, let off the throttle so I can hit burn, he was like, what? I was instantly filled with envy.

I had totally forgotten about this until a few weeks ago, tuning the SquirtForce on @Cxracer's Track Rat.

@nigelt It’s actually a bit less noticeable with this ECU than my old MS2. The one upside is you know you actually burned it to the ECU😄.

Just as an FYI, the Track Rat is a running product tester with a 93 chassis/1.6l wiring harness and a 94 1.8l engine swap. Once it was up and running with a bit of street tuning it went straight to LagunaSeca for a track day and performed flawlessly.

this looks like the perfect answer for my car, have been a long time reader and have been running low psi turbo with a plethora of band aids for 3 years now looking for an update next year i think. Where do we place orders? sorry maybe i missed it? .....NVM found you under FLOWFORCE in the vendor page, I don't see it on your website however.

I was doing the pre-order by PM/PayPal, but I can see how it would be more convenient to put an order in on the site. So here you go! https://goflowforce.com/products/flo...-plug-and-play

The pre-order price will bump up to $549 in early January when we move to production.

nigelt 12-28-2020 04:59 PM

Last chance for the $499 price. We'll go up to $525 on January 1, $549 sometime mid-January, and then full price at $599 once we are shipping.

nigelt 04-09-2021 07:54 PM

We are shipping out the first pre-orders today, and can ship out new orders as needed now. When you order one, you choose the configuration (NA6 or 94-95 NA8), and for the NA6 you have the choice of 4 base maps (batch or sequential injection, vTPS or not). It's been a long time coming, and we ended up making more revisions than originally planned, but I'm really happy with the outcome. Also stoked that we've made it compatible with our new R8 coil kit.
