Nothing wrong with it, so I'm probably going to wait a bit till I can do it with better ventilation.

I have a dw200 waiting to go in. Injectors installed right now are ID1000's. Never run them before, but I have a basemap I should be able to adjust to get things started. Just need to remember to pull a bunch of timing from it to start with.

Some more from the weekend. A bunch of the guys came over, I bought pizza and a bunch of beer, and we hung out and did a few things to a couple of car including looking over things on my motor and dropping it in. Again, I've never done any of this ish before so it was good to have some guidance.

And in case you were wondering... colipto is a madman when it comes to this stuff. He walked into the garage, saw the motor on the stand, and the first thing out of his mouth was.... "why the hell isn't this in yet?". Set the tone for the day!

I need to make a list of a few things I still have to do so I can stay on top of things.

For the most part right now:
-Few coolant lines (forgot to connect hose for reroute)
-Intercooler piping (this will be fun...)
-Coolant lines for turbo.
-Wiring and connecting a few sensors (oil temp/pressure etc)
-Wiring vvt.

Still need to figure out if my MS is pre-wired for it or not. Haven't heard from ze brain-meister about it.

I don't see a flywheel in any of those pics, so I'm pretty sure he doesn't have one.

Kinda freaking out a little bit...
I think first start should be doable this week... Probably before the end of friday. I've been making and checking a list this entire time and I'm kinda petrified that I'm going to forget something important...

I have to:
Run coolant lines to turbo.
Wire in oil temp/pressure gauge.
Do some minor wiring etc for the headlights.
Attach rivets for hood vents.
Change the valve cover gasket...
Put on bumper...
And a few other small misc things.

I gave up on mounting the oil cooler I bought from sixshooter. I couldn't find a spot for it that I was comfortable with and honestly I think I'll be okay for now. I was starting to get really frustrated working on trying to set it up that it was dampening my enjoyment of working on things. I can totally see why some of these projects sit for so long. It gets old constantly doing things. I shortened my list to just the essentials for now and I'll do the rest as I get time here and there this summer.

I'm so freaking nervous/excited... yuuuesshhh.

On the bright side, only about 1 in 10 blow up during break in. But another two of those die in year 1.

You are my sunshine.

Real talk: I'm mostly worried about startup because my garage is at the top of a short but stupid steep driveway. If the car gets to the driveway and can't do well on its own power..... it has to be towed back in lol.
That and the fact that I don't want the car to puke oil all over the garage floor if something happens. I don't even know what would happen. I'm like 99% sure that I didn't forget any seals lol.

Don't try to take it anywhere. The garage is the safest place to find leaks and problems.

I was planning on doing the first start on jack stands with tarp under the car just in case it pukes. If it behaves, I might try to take it down the street and down a few hills to get the rings some vacuum so they can seat a bit.

I thought we were friends...
Edit: Wait, didn't yours have the issue where the seal was popping out? I remember that one of the oil pan gaskets/seals that you used (the half moon ones?) had an issue where it was sticking out from the top when you had tightened it down.

Is there a way to check if my megasquirt was wired for VVT without opening it? It's braineak built MS3X with the knock circuit. I tried reaching out to him a month ago and didn't hear back. Emailed him again today, but figured I'd ask here as well.
