SADfab MR2-S rear hubs for Miata
 

We are now offering MR2 hubs ready to go for Miata. What is this you ask?

Its well known the miata hubs leave a few things to be desired. The rears have been known to shear off and break in extreme cases and you end up loosing a wheel, damaging your mobile hair salon and ruining your track day at best, or killing someone at worst.

Credit to @GeneSplicer for discovering that the toyota MR2-S hub from 2000-05 will fit with some modifications. They are 4x100 pattern, use the same stud thread pitch and length as a factory miata hub, and are substantially thicker with much more desirable machining radii and therefor should be much stronger. Pair of hubs shipped in the US is $175
Add $50 for a pair of Timken bearings.
Add $80 for extended length ARP studs, installed.

The hubs fit all NA/NB miatae with any brake combination(OEM na6, na8, nb, sport, wilwood, stoptech, etc) and use Miata rear wheel bearings. The ARP studs are 1" longer than stock at 2.6" vs 1.6".

2003 and up miatas do not use a rear wheel seal, and will cause some or all 03+ axles to bind on the seal, if installed. Please specify if you have an 03+ miata or axles, when ordering.

FYI bearings will be NSK, Timken, National, FAG, AC delco, Raytbestos, Beck Arnley or SKF, basically anything not chinese. And to clarify, the base price includes pressing in the studs of you choice, since they have to be removed and pressed back in for the machining operation in either case. Ill announce the ARP stud and bearing prices once we nail them down. The included shipping cover CONUS only.

Whatevs! I legitimately thought you already mounted yours before I put mine on. So I thought I fucked something up bad when I went to assemble everything..... Mind you, in a hurry to get the car to the cage builder :rofl:

I've seen the hub failure vids and I'm upgrading to 245/40/15 when my current tires wear out... So I will be needing a set.

What happens when the bearings wear out? Do you just repack them or buy another set? Anyone know what size bearings the Toyota hubs take?

These replace the hub only, so they still use Miata bearings. Thus far, Miata rear hub flanges breaking off the hubs from fatigue is a bigger concern than rear wheel bearings (unlike in the front).

Stock miata bearing. The rears aren't known to wear like the fronts do, afaik. And they're not repack-able, so you just replace them when they go bad.
