My annoyance at the smoke is partially explained in the thread. I'm actually still half convinced my oil feed was leaky off the block, who knows. It would only smoke after like 15 minutes which points more towards a leak than oil getting into the combustion chamber from bad seals. There is no shaft play whatsoever.
At this point the car is sitting on stands waiting to become emissions exempt so I can have some catless fun.
