Default Tein RA - race coil overs - LA area Craigslist

Not Mine-

Looks like a good buy on some Tein RA coil overs. These are the full race / hardcore street version of the Flex. Claims to have been used 1 weekend racing. Has the std 390/336 springs and also some 790's for the front.

Guy responded right away to all my questions. Seemed like a good guy. I was looking for the Flex's, the RA's he has are probably too hard core for my DD car and old spine.

He's asking $850. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/pts/654647045.html

That's Johnny Yanez and they're Flex, not RA. He tested them on his ITA car and didn't like them. He later discovered the giant splitter he fitted to the car at the same time was responsible for weird handling issue. Cut the splitter in half and running OTS Koni Race and GC's now. He would rather keep the Flex for the length adjustemt and greater stroke but decided not to set the car up a 3rd time and just called it good.

He was at the swap meet and gave me the lowdown..

Cjernigan,

That's what I got out of him too. Not sure why Emilio got a different story on them being Flex's. Guy did say they were custom valved to handle the 790's in the front. That's gotta be pretty stiff when off the track.

Again, seems like a solid guy and if he comes off the price at all that's 1/2 price on a nearly new high quality
setup.

Just in case anyone cares. The RA's are not adjustable shock bodies like the Flex though if he includes the top mounts they are pillowball.

Yeah not sure why Emilio was given a different story on them. I have another lead on suspension that I'm taking advantage of. I sure which these had indeed been flex's though, would have been a nice discount.

If they had been flexes I'd have never posted it! They'd be on my car about now.
