Default used turbos FS

is there any interest out there for used turbos, no guarantees, for about $70-$80 plus shipping ($20 -$30) depending on location? mostly garrett t3s and t25s some mitus'. not looking to make a living at this. im just a broke college student trying to feed the need for speed.

i should mention that these are turbos from a pick-n-pull. i dont want anyone to be misled. im running one (saab t3) right now on my 91 and it works fine. i wouldnt pull one i wouldnt put on my own car. i wont pull one unless it has minimal wiggle and spins freely. just wanted to be square with you all.

this also implies that newer models will be harder but not impossible to come by.

I'd give you $50 for a saab t3 that has loads of shaft play... as long as the housings are in good shape... that's all I am looking for. Saab does have standards ins and outs right?

saab has standard in and outs. it takes just as much time as to pull a good turbo as it does to pull a bad one. $70- $80 sorry bro.

If they're from a PnP, you know they came out of a running car.
Is it me, or is a mid-eighties Escort the most common car on earth to wreck.

if you know of a make, model and year range, it would be easier for me to find what you want.

spamnavy: down here most of what i see are volvos, saabs and benz. dsm now and then.

I will figure out what I want soon. I'm still looking for the best sub 200 hp (sub 175 hp?) quickest spooling turbo for my 1.6. Looking at the maps, it seems like I want the TD04-09B from a 3000GT, yet no one talks about it here. I think the 16G map looks awful for my 1.6. It's probably a question for another area, but does anyone here have any advice? I drive it on a road course, so I'd rather have quick spooling and less hp than big hp and lag. Anything is better than the 100 hp I have now!

i make 2psi by 1800 rpm but i dont run a IC either. the 16g flows real well for my 1.6. but i dunno if you where closer and i wasnt leaking oil out the pan seal i would let you try mine, to see for your self i autoxd it once just had to put it in 2nd and slide arond the track till i could get it into 3rd made plenty of low end power/speed.

Is that the 16G big or small? I just bought the Megan manifold and downpipe for $130 shipped from another thread here. That will work with T25, right? I don't plan to run an IC either. I have a MS and the right injectors. This turbo install could be cheaper than I had ever imagined! What's a common T-25 that people are using? Zebro, I would think I would box you in by listing cars. Can you narrow me in to what you usually find T25s on?

The only T25 that will fit on the megan manifold.dp is the dsm t25 found on the gen 2 dsm cars. It's a dsm-flange specific combo.

So does that mean I have to run the 16G with the Megan?
