Tampa: Miata Bolt-in Cage
A friend of mine is selling this cage and it's good deal for you FL guys who want to gain the safety of a cage for track/race w/o spending for shop to build/install one. I raced a Miata a few years back that had this cage in it and there was nothing peculiar about it. Steve is an honest guy- straight up seller.
I've got a bolt-in cage that came out of an ITA Miata that needs a new home.
I believe it is an autopower, all hardware including bars for netting,
mounting diagram, includes pre-bent and notched door bars if you prefer the
nascar style door bars (they would need to be welded in). I believe it is
SCCA legal with the new door bars, but you would have to check the GCR on
that. Regardless, would make a terrific cage for a track day Miata.
I don't know about shipping something this big, but I will make whatever
effort I can to make delivery as easy as possible (within reason).

Damn it. I want a four or six point roll bar that will work with my soft top and glass window for cheap, not a cage...
If anybody needs some help with it, I can probably load it in the back of my pickup truck and carry it as far as Atlanta for a few bucks next time I'm headed that way.

Howdy everyone...
I'll try to snap some pix of it tonight (as long as its not raining)... anything specific you want to see? Its out of the car and broken down right now, so it's just going to be pictures of the two major hoops and the accessories.
Thanks for the interest!

Buy it! It's a deal at that price.
Funny how things turn out. After talking with m1sandman, we figured out that
this cage came from my 91 showroom stock Miata. The guy I sold that car too,
pulled the cage for a custom weld in job. The cage then went to another friend
of mine and then on to m1sandman. So yes, it is for sure an AutoPower and IMO one
of the best bolt in cages around. It does a good job of getting all the tubes
to the max exterior of the car, making for more driver room and maximizing the
crush space.

For you Naples guys, I'll load it in the truck and meet you in Sarasota area to drop the drive time if that helps.
