I just picked up a '99 supercharged NB that was purpose built for track use. I'm going to be using it as a daily so I want the power steering back. The P.O. depowered the steering using the FM method posted on their website: disassembling the rack completely, removing the seals and regreasing.

Ideally what I'd like to do is swap someone rack for rack: your powered for my depowered. This one is in fantastic condition so yours should be too. Otherwise I'd consider selling this to someone after I find a powered unit. Price would be $150-ish.

Still installed in the car so you can come check it out before I pull it. If you're local, drive on over and we can do the swap in my garage.

 

I have a nice one I was going to depower. I'm willing to swap straight up. I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
