I dont get it, according to all ms3x pinouts on google, de CANH and CANL are on pin 3 and 4

The twisted white wire goed to 3 or 4? And the black vice versa

My MS3x was build by frank, i believe his name is westfieldmx-5 overhere

Our ECUs have a different pinout.

Any plans to make the PID's that are translated from CAN to the OBDII port configurable? The MS3 with 1.4.x firmware has pages of different parameters/values available over CAN. It would be awesome to be able to pick which ones are presented on the OBDII port. Yes, the OBDII display/logger would need to support custom PID's, but that is already a requirement for common asks such as oil temp, oil pressure, etc.

BTW... I have a Rev built MS3/MS3X running a NB2 VVT engine in my 97 chassis.

Thank you

Any chance this would work with a DIYPNP and allow me to import MS Data into Harry's Laptimer?

Yes, it will work with a DIYPNP! To connect to phone/tablet, you will also need a bluetooth/wifi dongle, just as if your car had a functioning OBD-II port.

You can order them from Trackspeed: MSLabs CAN Wideband Module

Make sure to add the OBD-II plug!

Thanks Rev!

Could you please clarify what this does? Personally, I wanted to use it solely for the OBDII feature so that I can connect a OBDII dongle to use with Harry's LTP, but I feel a little confused since the link appears to be a module meant for a wideband. What I imagined was a USB wire that turned into an OBDII reader somehow.

I have a DIYPNP that I'm just about ready to put into my '92 with a JDM 1.8 swap. I also have a Innovate LC-1 controller and gauge (missing harness to gauge)...will this module also allow me to bypass the gauge and tune the wideband directly off the lc-1 controller?

Your help in understanding everything is greatly appreciated.

The module will allow you 2 things:

1) Have OBD-II output for use with Harry's laptimer (bluetooth dongle still needed to pair with the phone)
2) Connect the LC-1 to the DIYPNP through the LC-1's serial port. This will provide a superior signal to the DIYPNP, helping you tune better and have a better idle. This method supersedes the "0-5V" analog input normally used.

I apologize if this has been asked/answered, but is there direct support for the PLX wideband?

It has been added in the past few weeks. I tested it against a Gen3 SM-AFR module. Looking to get a Gen4 to test it as well.

I have one of these all hooked up but can't seem to connect to the ecu via torque (android). I hooked it up via the canh and canl pins on the db37 and no luck. i fed it power through an aux fuse panel that i added and gave it a solid ground.

Thanks for posting. I'm not currently using the module for my wideband although I will be soon. I didn't mess with any of the can settings in tunerstudio but I went through them last night.

I don't remember which firmware I'm on but I do remember it's quite old... 1.2.3 or maybe 1.3.2 I guess it would be time to upgrade the firmware as well as I read that there was a significant update to the can stuff earlier this year.

You can update to 1.4.0 if you want, though it makes little difference to the module. You will want to look into some settings after the update, the rev limiter and idle control come to mind.

so then am i just doing it all wrong? I'm trying to use this link to setup the module, http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/Megas..._Broadcast.pdf

Although my settings menu's are not the same and this thing hasn't worked once.

I can't really connect to the ecu to make changes at the moment. I'm hesitant to flash firmware because of the issue i'm having... I fear that I will brick the ms3 if I lose connection during an ecu flash.

Any input? My questions on the settings didn't really get answered.

Were instructions not included with the module?
