2000 mazda miata MSPNP2 PWM IAC VALVE ISSUE
To anyone who knows more than me which is most likely most of you i have a puzzle for you! I seem to be having issues getting correct settings for my PWM IAC valve. I have tried replacing it thinking its possibly a mechanical issue instead of a tuning issue however the behavior was the same. My car will not decrease its RPM to 850 unless the IAC is unplugged, instead it stays around 1200-1300 RPM despite displaying the IAC duty at 0%. I think maybe its a simple settings issue that I wouldn't know simply due to my lack of knowledge as I've just recently began to learn. Hopefully someone can tell where i went wrong? Most likely I have a lot of faults in my tune which if you can find any besides the PWM IAC valve I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for you time!

So i tried this before but i just went out and tried it again just in case. So basically using the "idle test mode- Idle valve" I went though a full range of duty % and it seems that 100% resulted in the lowest rpm and 30 - 40 % gave me the highest rpms around 4k. I know that of the tutorials I've watched, all used normal but it seems that mine is behaving differently (inverted). Is this even possible? or am I really missing something. My ecu is the MSPNP2 and i never touched any of the wiring for the IAC valve so Im a bit confused on how to proceed.
