Smile '94 MSPNP2 AC Problems

Hello, I'm usually a lurker but I'm having a problem trying to make my air conditioning work with the help of AC Idle up. After enabling AC Idle up in Tuner Studio my car seems to activate idle up when the AC is not turned on, when AC is turned on the idle up stops and the car almost stalls. I'm not sure if this is just plain user error,if I am just looking at my problem incorrectly, or if its the ECU itself. The car is a drive train wise stock 1.8 94 on the base map (MSPNP2 1.3) . Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like you need to tune you idle first. It should idle around 850rpm after it's at operating temp. Then you should worry about ac.

Post your tune, and a log of this occurring.

My idle does need work, well the whole tune could use some tweaking. I have it a little under 950 at idle when fully warm after driving it, 850 when cabin air is blowing at max (not ac). I have a lot to learn but there is plenty of forum posts to help me with that though

Ok, I attached both. When the RPMs dip that's when I turn on the AC.
While the car is idling the little indicator box inside tunerstudio that says AC is lit up in green while it actually isn't on, and when it is on it turns gray like the rest. Is everybody else's like this?

Settings should be Normal, not Inverted, and 440Hz, not 480; from what I can glean, not being expert in MS2 or NA8.

Regarding A/C control, I don't see any issues. However, yes, on my car A/C light goes green when A/C clutch is engaged.

That's all I can offer.

Cool

If anyone else ends up having this issue I finally fixed it.
I ended up contacting DIYautotune and it turns out despite what the current manual says setting input polarity to high instead of low was the solution.
Now I can be cool as a cucumber while being slow as a snail.

Educate me. Where is input polarity found. That is waht seemed to be wrong, but I did not see that setting.

Also, does it work to leave your AIC output (valve mode) inverted?

It's where the rest of the ac idle up settings are. I had to set mine to high polarity too in my 94.

Yes, it works leaving it inverted, apparently PNPs are different and require it to be inverted.
