Default Help with MSPNP tunning 99 miata

Hello, I know so many people post help and I hate to ask for it, but Im at a loss. I was wondering if anyone can point out what may need to be changed.

This is the first car I ever tuned. Its a 99 Miata just got rid of the voodoo box for a Megasquirt PNP. Boost is currently set at about 8psi, stock injectors.

The car idles fine but my AFR is somewhat lean when WOT. WOT starts out ok than leans out. Should I start messing with Accel Enrich? I also purchased Auto tune but not sure exactly what that can change.

I will post a log soon, made one but the file is too big.....

Your VE map looks like dick.

Turn autotune on and let it work. If you're too lean i would suggest adding a ton of fuel and let autotune pull fuel out.

Also, buy some bigger injectors man. No sense using stock ones with MS.

Edit*
If you're going to take a 7 minute log, hit spacebar right before you do pulls. It helps when trying to see what the hell i'm looking at.

Edit2*
Turn overrun fuel cut on.

Ok I will try that. I did order some injectors from flyin Miata the 700cc ones. Should be here soon.

Thanks for the help.

I'm a little confused, your tune is set up for the narrowband.

You're also going to want to rebuild your maps for the amount of boost you're running, perhaps a little more for overhead...

Really, you shouldn't even be driving the car as it seems you don't know much about what you're doing just yet.

So other words take it to a professional tuner. I know there is a lot to learn and yea I don't know what im doing. The car wouldn't even run because the base map I had needed a lot of changes and It finally got better.

Ill just tow it to a tuner thanks for the help

A tuner is going to be a horrible waste of money if you do not have the proper equipment in working order on the car.

I don't think it is safe for you to keep doing pulls until two things happen:

1) Figure out what you are doing and what the information in the logs means
2) Fix your fuel system!!!

I looked at your logs compared to my Mazdaspeed (stock injectors and similar boost) and it looks as though you are running out of fuel very early, hence the AFR going leaner as you climb in RPM. I verified this by checking the Duty Cycle for the injectors, you hit 100% and then it climbs as you need more. It could be injectors but at these levels I'm at 80-85% duty cycle and I believe the MSM injectors are only slightly larger than yours. Get a fuel pressure gauge and make sure you are at the proper pressure, possibly replace the pump and how new/old if your fuel filter?

Lastly, what part of AZ are you in? I am in Tucson and might have some free time to help you get this sorted out.

Can stock injectors possibly be big enough?

Thank you for your reply. It turned out to be the injectors. I currently am running 700cc inecfors from flyin Miata and the car runs a lot better. I was also off on my timing. The AFR is a lot better however my idle is a little too high.

Other than that the car is a lot of fun to drive. I'll be honest I did not know anything about tunning and I read the manual over and over from megasquirt. Should of done that first before posting anything on here. :(

I currently live in Litchfield park west side of Phoenix. little far from you. I will post up a log and my tune later to see if there is anything else I am missing. Thanks again!!!

Here is an update of my tune. Car runs pretty good, AFR is about 12 at WOT, duty cycle reaches about 56% with the new injectors. I checked my fuel system, replaced filter,..... If there are things I missed or need to change please give the input. Thank you
