Default installing new injectors

When I go to install new injectors how do I know what exact AFR I need to put under my required fuel settings? I know NA is 14.7, how would I know for my boosted cars?

Its still the same, 14.7. The AFR that you need to put in there, is the stoich AFR of your fuel (gas).

The base map uses 13.4 AFR or something for reasons that i don't fully understand - i used this again rather than 14.7 and it got pretty close on the target AFR. it doesn't really matter tho, as you'll need to retune your VE table again anyway - just get it close enough so that it idles and runs reasonably (possibly on the rich side for safety) and then do some tuning runs.

just scale the req_fuel by the increase size in injector.

for example, a 460cc injector is twice the size of a 230, so if you're req_fuel is 12, and you multiply it by .5, then your new req_fuel should be 6.

Hey Brain- after adjusting req_fuel for bigger injectors on MS1, do the TPS AE and cranking PW need to be rescaled manually? The previous values should be too long for larger injectors as they aren't %VE and thus won't be affected by a change in req_fuel correct?

Just curious of other changes needed when altering req_fuel

with MSI, yes.

scale them in a similar manner. For cranking PW, you should remove 1ms from the number before doing the calc, then add it back in after. This compensates for the opening and closing times.

In MS2, most (if not all) enrichments are in % instead of actual PW, so everythign is scaled back by the req_fuel multiplier.

My problem with ms2 is not having a good guide to instruct me how to tune my enrichments unless I am over looking it. I now have ID 1000cc injectors which brought my require fuel to 3.1

I just don't understand how to be tuning these enrichments according to ???? Brain fart

You increase PW to squirt more fuel in the Accel Wizard window.

What's the fun in that, hustler? But yes

I'll check that out once I'm home brain. I still have old ms1 tuning manual b.s. that I didn't trash when I threw out that old pos.

Are you running traditional or inverted incabulator settings?

I'm thinking inverted, I know things like my boost duty table is inverted. Dimitris would confirm this.

Email him and ask about the incabulator polarity. It's very important for the VE table algorithm.

Messed with it last night and it's much better. To dam cold to be out tuning but it started like a champ this morning and runs great, still needs some adjusting but I'm happy. My ecu is going back to dimitris soon so I'll get him to set me up a base setup

If it needs a firmware flash, I have the cable and willing to help out. Please let him know.
