Default Looking for a good tuner to help me pass smog.

Hey there guys. I need some help tuning my car for CA smog. Located in San Diego, Greddy turbo'd, 305cc injectors, deleted maf, mspnp, 190lph fuel pump, new plugs. Close to passing 25mph but 15mph I'm a g-p. I think I'm running rich And cats not getting hot enough but wideband uego shows I'm at 14.7 afr. HIgh hc and co= timming and maybe rich misfire? Unburned gas? I'm new to tuning and would be willing to pay for your time as long as I can get the car to pass smog. Located in San Diego. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Would like to get it taken care of asap. Thanks- Bryan

Thanks for the replies but Yup under load NOx will be out of control. Shold I lowwer the timing advancement or just leave it at the fixed 10deg like when first setting timing and nut putting the - back in? Taking a big loss as I can't get it to smog. I wish I had the time to play with all the settings.

Good luck man... However you could go to a few places, usually small towns away from major polution, where they dont do roller testing. All they do is stick a sniffer in the pipe and press down on the gas pedal to 2500 rpm and then let it idle and thats the whole test. I happen to be in such a town and I can tell you that the limits are also more lax... Its one option.

Thats 2 speed idle. I usually do those when the cars are to low for the dyno. Or if its a sketch place tell the guy you'll throw him 100 bucks if he puts another car on the dyno and your vin

only problem with that is some of the dyno smog shops in CA take a picture of your license plate while on the dyno.

Now thats ****. Crazy laws over there, the only thing over here is if a undercover auditor comes in and sees you doing something illegal they will fine and lock you out.

Pull out 5 or 10 degrees in and around whatever load cell you're in at the 15 MPH test.

Also, if you're able to do so discreetly, you might want to have the logger running for the next test.

Default Thanks for the replies guys..

I actually sold the car as is.. I took a loss but I rather not mess with any trouble. My car ran clean and I was so sure it would pass. I just did not have the time to tweak it in order to get it to pass. Hope the new owner get it to pass and enjoys the ride.. Thanks for all the help guys.. - Bryan
