Ms Pnp Cant Connect Please Please Help

Right then hopefully some body can point me in the right direction Ive searched and searched to no avail,so now I'm calling on the help.

Ms PNP 1990-93>>> with the 10g firmware loaded

I contacted Diy auto tune (very help full to) as to what, was the right direction to go, as i purchased the ECU secondhand,

I was advised to "reload the firmware to the "with AFM" version, and>> load the With AFM base map" no for the life of me i cant even get the dam thing connected let alone far enough to reload the firmware.

I'm using a Pl-2303 usb adapter supplied by the previous owner and I'm reassured it worked fine, i have checked the comport number match and for the life of me i cant get the bugger to work.

Do i need to download the firmware before it will communicate?

I have read and re-read the manual as to how i should be connecting but still no luck can any body help!

Thanks in advance.

Stupid questions, but do you have Tunerstudio loaded on the computer? Did you try another serial cable? When I first installed mine, I couldn't connect either due to a pos usb to serial converter.

What happens when you run PortCheck?

I have the same question as the OP. Got everything hooked up, ready to go, load it up and the COM settings will not read my port. I read this thread https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...nload+firmware and https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...nload+firmware and did what they said and it's still not reading my ecu! I have a '94 with the DIYautotune usb adapter. This is very frustrating!

check where the cable plugs into the megasquirt and see if one the pins is missing. Had same problem, open case pushed pin back in to plug.

I found a lot of my connection problems at first rooted from simply not having the 'correct' drivers installed for my serial-usb adapter. Not sure if that's the case here though.

All sorted now, thanks for your help guys.
