Default MS3PnP and MTX-L ... not talking

Hi guys
I have had my 96 running on the MS3pnp for a few weeks and just got around to installing the inter cooler and MTX-L wide band. I had the yellow signal wire on the MTX-L wired to the stock signal wire by the cas/coils but TS was showing 10.2 AFR.
I unpluged that signal wire and checked it with a meter and it was showing around 2.4 V..

I have the wide band cal. set to the custom in TS with 0 v to 7.35 and 5.0v to 22.4

It seems like the MS just does not see the wideband output.

I ran a wire right to the MS and tapped into the 3C wire and still the MS acts like no signal.

Gauge on the MTX-L it working and moving (14.x to 16.x up and down with idle and throttle) .

Car starts and idles fine ( a little high on the idea but have yet to tune that)...

This is not the first miata I have set up a MS and wideband on but first for having something like this happen.

Anyone seen something like this or have an idea what to check next?

Thanks

Matt

Do you have the MTXL serial programming connector attached by any chance? (ie: plugged into the gauge, not necessarily plugged into a computer)

The MTXL does a stupid thing where it wont send out a signal if the program plug thing is attached at all. (well, not via the 2.5mm jack output anyway, unsure on the bare wire voltage method since my old ECU didnt use it)

The programmer cable is not attached. The voltage on the yellow wire is changing as the gauge chances so I do believe it is work.

I have seen that it is easier to wire the wideband into the rear O2 sensor wire and then MS can read it. I did 2 96/97 cars in the last few months and that solved the issue.

Thanks I will try that.. would I need to change the J5 jumper for that to work ?

Getting very close to finishing installing my MK turbo kit.. just 2 years and 2 cars latter.

Ok moved the signal wire to the rear O2 sensor and changed the J5 to rear but still the same.

After that I made a new project in TS and reloaded it with the base tune. Then installed the wideband and setting in TS but still the same.. the AFR just bounces a little just like it has no calibration ( just like the tps will until you calibrate it.)

BINGO!!!! found it.. TS 3.0.28 the ego input is set to analog 1 and not O2 sensor... make that change and we are working.. just took about 15 hours of checking wires and pulling the wide band and MS out a few times to figure it out.
