Does the car run normally on the stock ECU?

You say you are running without an AFM. Did you load the without AFM firmware to the MSPNP ECU (with the ignitor disconnected)?

Have you checked and set your timing?

Unfortunately there is another issue that just came up. My clutch is dragging slightly. With the pedal out in neutral, the real wheels spin (in the air). The pedal adjustment is fully out already, to no avail. Any tips?

How is that possible.. if it's in nuetral it should never spin the wheels... ever... it's not in gear.. there is no link. With the car in nuetral it is like this:

Engine->Clutch->Trans ... it can't spin the wheels unless it is in gear.

Just something to try to check your IAT and CLT readings. With the car turned on, but not cranking or running, make sure you are getting realistic numbers for IAT (Intake Air Temp) and CLT (Coolant Temp) in Megatune (or Tunerstudio). If the car is cold, they will be close to each other and close to ambient.

The numbers for IAT and CLT seem to be realistic, and very accurate to what ambient was when the car was cold.

The car did run fine on the stock ECU. i did upload the correct firmware and map. Timing, as i said, lost my buddy and need to wait until they can help me again.

Posted about this on "the other forum" and they said it was perfectly natural. i'd never had it happen before either. How odd.

Most cars will free spin the tires even in neutral when you have the drive wheels off the ground. Try letting the car run and pressing the brake pedal. If the wheels stop and the engine does not, then you have no problem.

Well, i got the timing set exactly right, then set the timing to -10 to bring it back to map. Still won't idle for anything, upped the dashpot, played with the idle screw, nothing.

Have no idea what to do now, any ideas?

and the car runs fine with the stock computer in?

Nagase 03-11-2010 11:20 PM

It did run just fine when i pulled it in to do the swap.
