Default Need help with VE table.

After far too long, I'm finally ready (I hope) to drive my pieced together car/project. I am hoping to get advice as far as a VE table goes, since I am still very much a noob with it comes to tuning. I started with a base map from diyauto tune, but then I messed with it trying to get my idle steady. It was only after a few frustrating hours did I realize, that my #4 injector decided to leak. I think I may have adjusted to the values too much.

I was also hoping to get some input on some of my other settings:

Thanks you for your input. I have learned a lot from this site, only to realize I have much, much more to learn.

The car is a 95 with forged rods, pistons, walboro 190hp, RX-7 550cc injectors, GT2560, old FM manifold.

What are your target afr's? Where did that ignition table come from? I don't have one of mine in front of me but they seem pretty radical at first glance.

I've always started with afr's and let tuner studio set fuel load. Then play with timing. All those other trim options have never been much of an issue from the way they came as base settings

I haven't touched the ignition table. That is the table I downloaded on from diyauto tune. I have the option "include AFR target" turned on, but it doesnt seem to help. That my be due the leaky injector.

I fixed the injector, and decided to go for a test drive around the block... It didn't go well. When I apply throttle, the car leans out very badly and stumbles a lot. Did I miss or over look a setting?

Previous to the turbo set up, the car ran with no problems and about 3500 miles after the rebuild.

I changed my MAP sensor to an MPX4250, which I believe is what comes with a DIYPNP MS. I also registered Tuner Studio.

When I first started the car, it now sounded like it was running on two cylinders. I then turned off the barometric correction, this didn't appear to make a difference.

I also tried Tune analyze live, which didn't seem to make much of a difference either. Although, I'm sure if I let it run long enough. It tries (really hard) to idle, even though the afr's are hitting 10's.

The bottom of my gauge cluster on Tunerstudio now also has a red flag that reads "Test Mode." I don't think this was on before and I can't find a way to turn it off. Not sure if that has any impact the car stumbling/leaning out under load.

I double checked my timing, it was spot on. I also checked my idle settings, they all appeared to be normal. I'll try to get a log up tomorrow. I ran out of time today, my neighbors don't appreciate my tuning with just a down pipe at night.

I would put the basemap back on the car. That should get it running/driving at least, then you can tune it. Sounds like some of your settings may be wrong for various reasons as you were learning/troubleshooting.

Good idea. How can I make sure which map to use? V3.2.1 or v3.3.1?

I reloaded the software, car idled worse than before. I made a few changes, req fuel and turned off barometric correction. The car seems to idle smoother. I made the ugliest test pipe to continue tuning with annoying the neighbors. I will go for a test drive tomorrow, wish me luck.

Test run was very successful. I do have a small oil leak to track down, and I really need an exhaust system. I'm currently running factory exhaust and muffler.

I have to say, I am very happy with the VE tuner analyze live.
