Where the hell is the MAT correction table???
Three days and about 8 hours of online searching and my final verdict is that I cannot find where the MAT correction table is located. I have Tuner Studio 2.0.6 and have had no luck locating the mat correction table. I have read that it is in the extended tab but I have no extended tab. I have read it is located basic settings but again no luck. Someone for the love Jesus help me out here, the temp change we are currently going through is killing me I'm having to change my fuel table in the morning then again on the way home. Just about ready to take the car out into the front yard carve the previous owners name in the hood and light it on fire!!!:vash:

TunerStudio 2.0.8 Extended tab is in the row underneath File, Options, Etc.
I assume it would be the same place in 2.0.6 but don't know if I've had that version of TS. |
do you have an air density correction button under basic settings?
|
It does depend on your ECU.
On MS3 it's under the Basic Setup menu IIRC. |

Can't use ipad to upload pics to site but i got it figured, as you can see there is no extended tab and no MAT correction to be found. Thanks, any help is appreciated |
That's an MS1.
Advanced -> Coolant corrected air density. Then on that window: Settings -> Coolant related air density and set Air density correction: Corrected, and Correction based on: IAT correction. |
IMO that sucks... I have adjusted that and got nothing but worse for wear. Thank you for clearing this up. Now I have to do more research to get something that works for me in that field. Thanks again Reverant.

TtT, I'm in your neck of the woods. Here's what worked for me and my hi-res MS1. I've been driving with this table and haven't touched my tune in a few months now. It's tuned for 100 at ~80F.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. If I were sitting passenger to you I would gladly give u a "old fashioned". Thanx

Hey Enginerd are those values IAT's or coolant temps that you used for the table? I go by Celsius and converting the 200F gives me 93C. Just want to make sure, would like to try these values.
|
why in the world would you blindly use someone elses values?
why not just actually tune your car to work properly? |
His numbers look reasonable, at worst they are a starting point. I can add or reduce the correction if needed.
I am working on my tune, main issue i am having right now with my tune is it changes with temperature. Having this table set to normal correction works but then i get heat soak at idle. With IAT corrected the numbers i currently have dont seem to be working well. It is what came with to 90-93 without afm base map, by the looks of it at 80F they have about 135% correction so 35% more fuel? My gammae is always above 100%, mainly 130-140. If its set to normal corrrection then it just uses what is in the inc files right? Does having it set to IAT corrected mean that you make a new temp correction range ignoring the inc file data or does it supplement what is in the inc files and still mainly goes by them? |
He picture says manifold air temp
|
Can someone tell me if i am doing this right. I started off with the 90-93 without afm basemap with mspnp 1. Should i set it to normal correction or atleast have the correction values in IAT corrected set to 100% at each temp value while i am tuning my fuel table and then add correction at different temperatures to maintain my AFR's?
I have currently either tuned with IAT corrected active and use values that came with base map. AFR's change with temp. When i tuned with normal correction selected, AFR stability in different temp is better but i get heat soak at idle and hot restarts. |
