So I had to rebuild my td04 recently, sometime in october. I drove it once up and down the road but being october and this is utah i put the car away for the winter soon after. Now an event came up and I wanted to get the car ready for it, did a few things here and there and fired the car up, heard a terrible noise. Shut if off and looked around for the source took off some of the turbo piping and the nut for the turbine shaft has popped off along with part of the shaft. This event is sunday, am I screwed? anyone in Utah have a td04 for sale that is in good shape? anyone have a td04 shaft? I'm afraid I spent a bit of money on general maintenance and getting the car ready all around, so I don't have much to spend at the moment. Oh well... Live and learn.

Buy this. Swap the CHRA/Compressor housing over to your setup (should take less than 20 minutes). Profit.

 

Does the td04 from the wrx use the same shaft? I should be able to get one of those for cheap around here. I know there's a volvo too, which one? I can look around the local junkyards. Gpop wants $150 for a shaft, that sucks but if I have to I will overnight parts from arkansas.

 

Any TD04H shaft *should work.
