I thought JIS was a straight thread with a flared end? IOW- the Greddy nipple that screws into the M10x1.5 oil feed on the hotside of the block by the flywheel is JIS.

Edit: a bit of light googling produced some info on "Japanese Tapered Pipe Thread" which is "identical to and fully interchangeable with the BSPT (tapered) connector." And there we have it. Learn something new every day...

Well Austin did send over a load of engineers to kick start the auto-industry in Japan after the war.

Can you believe they aspired to make cars as well as the British did. Thank **** they didnt!

I've used 1/8 brass NPT fittings here(oil pressure sender port) many times with success. The brass has deformed enough to seal, but your results may vary.

Edited for location clarity.

Wait, why are you aski...

Oh, that's right. You've been on here for two years have spewed forth over 5 kiloposts, and yet you still have no boost!

On the NB (and the later NAs from what I understand) you can take it from the sensor hole, from a filter sandwich plate, maybe from someplace I haven't thought of, but you lack the fitting on the hotside by the flywheel. Inadequacy...

I'm only 1000 miles from home.

Thanks for the info btw.

These are the locations I've been to over the last 2-years. This does not count multiple trips. I have 30+ trips over the last 2-years. Some of these trips are 3 weeks, some are 9 months.
