Default 1990 1.6 in need of turbo kit advice

I have a TD04 that I picked up cheap. At the time Kraken still had kits for the TD04, but no longer does. Is there a kit that is as complete as a Kraken setup that will work for my car and a TD04? Or should I give up on the TD04?

The reason I selected the TD04 was because of the completeness of the Kraken kit and the fact that it would max out right at the limits of my stock engine internals. I’ve upgraded my drive shaft, axles, and diff (Torsen limited slip). I have a Supermiata radiator and re-route (not yet installed). I have no desire to make more power than my stock motor can handle. I’m just wanting a fun car for the local mountains. Thanks for your time and advice.

A good friend drove my car and said, “Man it’s slow… I mean you wish it would go faster and eventually it does”. He’s not wrong.

Bofi G19 manifold and downpipe for £745.00 (roughly $950 USD + tax and all that fun stuff). It is only a 2.5" downpipe, but it'll be sufficient for your goals.

For a complete kit, MK turbo has a nice setup.

Do you have experience with these? How much massaging will I have to do in order to make the downpipe fit in a LHD car? Thanks

Personally, no. However, Bofi is pretty much the top dog when it comes to turbo Miata parts in the UK, so I'm pretty confident it would be good quality. In terms of fitment, the site says "Please note 01-05 USDM cars use NB 98-00 downpipes" which makes me think that all years except the 01-05 years should fit on USDM cars without any modifications. I'd send them an email to confirm it though. They've responded very quickly to one of my inquiries about their Pulsar G25-550 turbo.
