Anyone have pics of an MKTurbo intercooler installed on an NB1?
I've been working in the afternoons all week getting my MKTurbo kit installed, and I was wondering if anyone had pics of how they ran the hot side of the intercooler piping as well as how they clocked their turbo for an NB1 install? Lars sent some pics right before everything started shipping, but any extra that someone might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated!

Shoot me an email with pictures of what you have and where you are having trouble. I will ping a few other NB1 customers and see if I can get them to post some pictures.

I can send you pictures of the kit on my nb2, if that would help at all

I'll take some pics when I get home after work. I was just test fitting the turbo while I was at lunch along with the A pipe for the intercooler and I was having some contact between the hood and said pipe. I still had the lift hook attached to the front of the head, so I took that off and rotated the turbo to point more at the head which is how I think I'm seeing it in the pics you sent. Does that silicone joiner need to be trimmed to help minimize the height of the piping coming off the turbo?

I'm relatively confident that Lars used a different routing for the nb2. Yeah you will most likely need to trim the coupler coming off the turbo shorter a bit. Use a sharp razor blade and cut a little shorter, test fit, and trim some more if needed. |
Lars, I just sent the pics. Let me know if it looks right how I have them routed.

Well, I've been working non-stop for the last two days to get the kit installed. I'll post pics of the intercooler routing for posterity tomorrow afternoon after work. Took it out for the first drive about two hours ago, and wow! It's quite a kick in the pants when the turbo starts to spool.

Could you send some pics on where your wiring and vaccuum lines are for megasquirt and afr guage?
