Stock Intake Hose + Greddy
As the air got hotter, so did the intake manifold. For some reason it also got more slippery. The stupid hose wouldn't stay on for shiet. Since I don't have the $ to replace the pipes right now, I considered a couple of options which included putting screws thru intake hose and manifold and putting some duct tape to hold the hose in place.
Putting screws thru the manifold kinda scared me. I am not too fond of making permanent changes for band-aid fixes. So here's the solution that worked for me.
With the intake hose complete off, i put some electric tape (the real sticky one not the shiny crap) around the intake entry past the flange. A few wraps of tape only. attached the hose back on and clamped real tight. That's it. Drove for past three days including some boosting and so far so good. At 5.5 Psi it holds OK. Not the most elegant solution, but no irreversible changes have been made.
I did a quick search and haven't found any patches for stock intake hose besides replacing it. So how did some of you tackle this issue?

yeah I never had any problems either. although I also had a bov. hey exhondaman, put a bunch of long zipties around the minor diameter of the accordian section, it helps it from expanding during boost.

Well the way I c it - the hose flies off when u let go off throttle (i.e. throttle plate is shut). The excess of air still pushed by exhaust hits the plate, bounces back. Due to configuration of the hose it hits another wall, causing it move in the direction opposite the manifold. Since most of you have BOVs you would decrease the amount of pressure on that wall...
