Default Begi-S Minus the Turbo?

Anyone know if you can order the S without the turbo (like you can without the AFPR)? Also anyone know how much that bumps off the price? Searched around but couldn't find anything, and they're closed today right?

Thanks!

I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem with it. Best to just wait and ask them on monday.

They will. I checked into this when I bought my BEGI-S. If I remember correctly, with no turbo, it is about $750 off. BUT CHECK WITH STEPH since I am going off of memory here. I ended up just buying it from them since a new GT2554 (Garrett, ball bearing, water cooled) was not cheaper than the money I saved, at least not anywhere I could find. If you want a Chinacharger you could save money.

BTW if you want to save some money on a BEGI-S kit check out this link (shameless plug). Steph knows about it too.

Also, BEGI provides their turbo's with a ported wastegate (against boost creep) and all fittings attached (GT2554 at least) and already clocked for you application in most cases.

Oh sweet. I've had opportunities to buy used a GT2560r in the past for pretty good prices (though what's the life on those?). So I was curious since that being a 200 buck upgrade how much of a savings that was.

I thought about picking that up once, but you have an NB, but I have a NA 1.8. Is that an issue?

This is my concern about buying a used one. If I'll need to get it clocked and a bunch of other things to make it work.

Ha, if you are concerned about clocking and whatnot and you're just doing this to save money, just buy it just buy it from Begi.

Actually the porting is a concern more than clocking. Though they've stated they'll do it for free if you ship it to `em. I'm mostly trying to see what options are out there. Where things can be DIY'd, and what things are best left to BEGi. With the turbo I want popping up on ebay used for at least $350 less and a couple thousand miles on it it may be something to consider.

If money wasn't an object it'd be BEGi all the way. =D

I just got an offer for the intake plumbing; the buyer should be making payment soon. If it falls through though I will let you know.

I got my begi S kit with no turbo and if i recall correctly it was 800 bucks cheaper. I sent them a turbo i got from another member on here. They did the port job, and drilled for 10mm studs for free for me.

We will sell the kit without the turbo. It is $600.00 off the list price. We also have a used GT2554 here if anyone is interested.
