Better get that stuff soaking now so you're ready. Specially the exhaust bolts.

urgaynknowit 02-13-2008 04:40 PM

ugh, those bolts that connect the header to the down pipe section of the stock exhaust....

I HATE THEM!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

take everything apart and install turbo, 2 hours

get those bolts off 4 hours......

enjoy car 6 hours later...

ok im done

wes65 02-13-2008 04:48 PM

if its not your DD, remove the header....see if you can remove them without stripping out the head if the bolts are stuck and want to take the stud/part of the head with it :(

You know you dont have to disconnect those while they are on the car, right? You can unbolt it from the cat and pull it out with the exhaust manifold. If you need that piece, you can take it off when it is off the car, or if you have a downpipe you wont need it because it the DP will bolt to the cat.

check.
although, now that i am looking at it, im probably going to just delete the power steering. It will probably simplify things a bit and i can deal without a/c until i can come up with an idler pulley or a shorter belt.
