Yes it'll work. Recirculate to a pre-turbo, post afm pipe.
|
With AFM/MAF you MUST connect the opening where you currently have the filter to the intake tube or your car will run like Mierda (shit). Or get an MS and VTA that bitch.
|
Holy shatballs with rice and beans! Welcome Geoff!! For those that dont know, Jeff was one of the owners of my old flared miata which is currently Erics car (rotornutfd3s)
|
and now someone else can own it.
|

Do you really need a BOV?
|
I took mines off untill I get my ECU and remove the MAF

NO. Just crank up the boost to 30psi and you should be fine.
with the etd manifold, and bell downpipe, i'm gonna tighten the wastegate a bit and shoot for 6psi this coming trackday--so hell yes, i need a bov to combat that thing called compressor surge :brain: |
Do what the MSP guys do just relocate your MAF after the Bov right before your intake mani and vent it....works fine
|
you sure the stock MAF will be fine under psi?

Doesn't sound like it would work fine to me. If this was the case and worked well all the speed density people in here (which is pretty much everyone with engine management) would do this. I haven't seen anyone do that before. Ever.
Now the flapper door afm I"m not to crazy about. |

doesnt adaptronic get rid of the stock flow sensor and replace it with a manifold pressure sensor? Whats the problem? |

I believe he means the wire maf and not the AFM. I"ve seen it done on various cars. If I had a wire maf thats what I would do. There are people that do, been a pic or two of some on this board before.

I'm running speed density with no MAF or AFM or any of that bullshit. Just a good ol GM MAP sensor.
No problems here:D :friday: |
MSP uses the same sensor as the 1.8 engine and it works because it reads all the air thats in the engine it could give a sh*t less whats going on before it.
Edit: If someone has tried this please chime and correct me because ive never done it on a miata. |
