Default Which Cat to use with Tony DP?

So I've ordered my Tony DP and am planning on a 2.5" Catback exhaust (I'll probably try to build one, then give up and buy an Enthuza) and I'm trying to figure out what catalytic converter to use. If I understand correctly, the Tony pipe is 2.5" at the flange, so I need a 2.5" - 2.5" catalytic converter. I checked with FM and their 1.6 Cat is 2" in, 2.5" out. I can't find data on the JR or any other, but I'm assuming they are the same.

I know I could just have a muffler shop fabricate something, but I'm hoping to find a unit ready-made, with good quality bends, etc. What are the rest of you lucky folks using with your Tony pipes?

I just got your downpipe and I also am wondering about a 2.5 - 2.5 cat. They are available on e-bay cheap, but they all have the pipe w/o flanges. If you can come up with a cat with proper flanges and angles and at a decent price, I will be a buyer.

Yea, I know Ric at Racing Mazda says he has cats. But just try to get it sent to you. I had to make a complaint to Visa to get my $715.00 back after he ignored my request to send the injectors and cat which I ordered along with his downpipe. I knew he did not yet have any downpipes, but several calls and messages left to send the rest of the order were ignored. Giving my money back freely was aparently never going to happen.
Iam glad that Tony is taking up the slack and filling a need for GReddy owners. Now if I can get the cat too I'll be on my way to Flying Miata for the injectors.

Hey Tony, is there any chance you will make a complete exhaust system in the near future? I in the process of turboing my Miata and your DP and cat are a great deal but I still need cat-back.

Thanks,

Trey

Hey Trey I have had many coustomers ask me that over the years . Its just hard to determine what a coustomer wants. Let me ask you guys this what type of muffler would want & would it be a single or dual outlet. what type of exhaust tips would be apealing? I would also need someone locally for r&d work.I have a few ideas i would like to try but I still need a car, ant ideas guys

My personal preference is a single outlet. From what I can tell from seeing other people's cars I think this is the most popular format. As for the type of muffler I don't know but I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me can suggest some.

hey firedog if you can send me everything accept the muffler. just cut it off at the welds & send the tail pipe & all the pieces leading to the muffler thanks. what if I made the piping section & you all can choose your own muffler. do you think that will work.
