Mine is an Artech, what do you want to know?

Stephan@MX5 10-25-2011 07:06 PM

It is not clear to me if it's still available..
And if they ship to the netherlands, also useful.

Stevo11 10-25-2011 07:09 PM

I think the answer to both is yes. They are still advertising + he shipped mine to me here in Ireland.

Stephan@MX5 10-25-2011 08:21 PM

Okay, sounds good. That's an relief haha. BTW, is it stainless steel?

Stephan@MX5 03-24-2012 03:21 PM

Finally time to install my new manifold of Artech.

Is it necessary to make cuts between the cylinder ports, as recommended to the stock GReddy manifold?

curly 03-24-2012 03:31 PM

No!

Stephan@MX5 03-24-2012 08:06 PM

Thanks!

Wow that looks like a nice piece. Better than the ETD manifold everybody was buying 5 years ago.

jared8783 05-15-2012 04:21 PM

how much did you pay for that manifold?

HeresJohnny 07-14-2012 03:40 AM

I'm going to ask this in here as I think if you guys are looking at fabrication it's as good a place as any. What I cant understand is this : there are hundreds of used turbo manifolds out there for loads of 4 cylinder cars with T25 flanges, there must be one that would fit the MX5 Mk1 (1.8 though) with a few adjustments, maybe a few new bolt holes in the right place. Has this been asked before and looked into ? I can't find anything when searching.

jim-NA 07-15-2012 02:19 PM

I think you already know the answer to this.... ;)

curly 07-15-2012 08:46 PM

Yes, there are manifold that fit 1.8 miatas. They're the ones that are MADE TO FIT THE ------- CAR.

Between port spacing, stud spacing, port size, and then where the manifold places the turbo, a manifold made for another car will not work.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have discovered that I have a cracked manifold on my greddy kit. I contacted Artech, but they no longer make these. Is there a direct replacement for the Greddy kit somewhere?

I just bought one from CXRacing on ebay for $195 shipped (assuming you have a 1.6). The reviews are all over the place and they don't offer any warranty. I figure for that price though, it is still a 304 stainless a tube manifold, so if any of the welds crack, I can just reweld them. Definitely not the best quality out there, but will work for my purpose.

**EDIT** - clearly (by the neg cats I have received) some may think my post as an endorsement of this product. It in NO way is. I fully acknowledge this is a cheap chinese manifold, which will most likely crack. I said the reviews were all over the place, and that the company does not offer any warranty. However, for my application, which is strictly for a weekend play toy I full intend on beating the hell out of....OFF ROAD, and the fact that if the welds do fail, I have the ability to reweld them, makes this one fine with me. If you are wanting reliability, I would not suggest going this route.

Is this a direct replacement? The CXR looked like the flange was further back than the greddy. Im still using my greddy downpipe. Let me know how it fits.

I will test fit today when it shows up. It looks like I may need to extend my DP, but not sure yet. I will take some pics and post them up.....assuming I haven't been banned because people keep leaving me negative feedback for buying what I clearly said was a cheap product, lol

He was just trying to be helpful, guys. It was an informative and good-natured response to a problem someone was having. And he knows it will likely crack.

MiataNuTca 09-29-2017 07:37 PM

I know a tig welder ;)....doesn't bother me. I may have him add welds before I install. Looking at possibly ceramic coating as well. Can't be any worse than the stock greddy mani. Thanks for the input
