Default More power wanted

like I would like to get some advice on what i should or could do to get more power out of my set up with out going to a ems. i have the MSD box with green top injectors, i made my own 2.75" down pipe and intercooler piping with a hks bov and have never had idle problems like other posts ive seen. i have a mbc set to 12.5 psi and a narow band a/f gauge that dosent show me going lean. it makes great power no one can could pass me at thunder hill untill i went off the track. it will roast the tires from a roll in first through 2nd i have RT 615's in 205-40-17. i just have the power bug bad and am use to a large v8 under the hood of my cars. what is my next step?????

next step, buy a new engine....or get a wideband before you blow your engine

Better engine management and a wideband.
Larger injectors and more boost.
Built bottom end, freshened head for more boost.
Larger turbo so you don't max out the greddy.
3" exhaust
Really whatever you feel like. You should go MS and get a WB so you can actually tune what you have for max power versus regular bandaids. You say "without going with a new EMS", that means your options are limited to just adding more fuel and more boost and possibly more intake cooling to deal with it all. Maybe water injection coupled with another 5 psi.

well i have 3" exhuast with no cat and a air meeter off some v6 mazda dont remember what car but its like 2x the size of the stock one. i cant belive this motor hasnt blown ive had 3 track days on it like this and driving on the street, and its got 180,000 miles on it. i have a sbc sitting around but think it would be more involved to put it in then to up grade my set up. so i should go for a mspnp adn wide band and when this motor blows a 1.8? any thing elce?

how much does head porting help on these cars? ive done head work for mustangs and camaros before and other chevys but not on anything turboed. do larger valves help all that much?

Yea, built 1.8.

Headporting on a miata doesnt do as much as you would think especially when forced induction. Get a 99 head on your NA block, and thats considered an upgrade.
