I just can't tell from the CARB website if the model turbo matters as they only refer to the turbo by manufacturer.
We build turbo kits around turbos sent to us all the time. The T3 or SR20 are the most common. We do request that you send us the turbo so that we can prep it for use with out parts. The turbo compressor inlet and outlet need to be sized appropriately. The coolant fittings need to be checked to make sure what we have will work. We also port the turbo and enlarge the turbo mounting holes for 10 mm studs. We also weld on or bolt up an actuator bracket. If you get a BEGI-S kit, and do not need the turbo, we take $600 off the price of the kit (if you send us a turbo). The price still includes prepping the turbo. Or, you can get a shanghai kit and just replace the turbo on your end. However, you might encounter a problem with the oil drain flange fitting and the oil inlet fitting. If I know mounting hole dimensions beforehand, i can send the correct flange. And the oil inlet fitting would need to be purchased separately. Hope that helps... Stephanie |
excellent!! now if i could only choose between a t25 or t28...

Any word on whether a Begi S system configured with a customer provided garrett turbo will still include a CARB sticker?
