When I looked at the website back in May (when I called in my order), it said they were now including ceramic coating on the compressor housing and manifold? I got my kit today and it's not coated? Did anyone else see this on the website or know anything about this? Thanks.

 

Not on the S from what I recall unless you happened to see a misprint while they were changing the site over.

 

I don't know...I'm fairly sure it had this text:
New STANDARD Features!
Ceramic Coated Exhaust Manifold and Turbine Housing!
No More Broken Studs!!! 10 mm Turbo to Manifold Studs.

on the main page on the site for Miata turbos-then all the kits were below it (S included)...of course now it's all changed up.

 

Ceramic coating was listed as an option on the -S kit. They had the extra cost for it listed at the bottom of the page.

 

I concur with Ben as it being an option on the -S kit. S1 and up kits all became standard ceramic coated.

 

Dont worry, it doesnt do much anyway so install the kit.

 

mmm, well ok...damn I could have sworn it was on the page I saw.

 

Just be glad you got it when you did, BEGi is increasing it's prices soon 6% and they may increase them another 6% beyond that because the price of everything is skyrocketing (talked to Corky today!). Our cafeteria is talking about a 25% price increase because everything is going up so badly because of fuel costs affecting shipping costs, etc.
