Unhappy Greddy kit arrived. Parts missing. Help?

You know that scene from “The Jerk” where Steve Martin runs around excitedly shouting “The new phone book's here! The new phone book's here!” That's pretty much how I felt today when the box labeled “Greddy” arrived.

Unfortunately, I seem to be missing quite a few parts. Going by the scans that White Roadster posted in the archive, I am missing the fuel pressure regulator, the vacuum tee, the vacuum hose, the fuel hose, the screws and clamps for the FPR, the manual itself, and most importantly, the CARB sticker!

First off, I'm assuming that there is supposed to be a CARB sticker somewhere. Otherwise I'm gonna have a hell of a time. Is this correct?

Second, does anyone know if all the pieces I listed were supposed to be in the same bag (or bags)? That would at least make it easier to explain when I call Raven Wing on Monday.

Not sure about the parts, but when I got my kit, it didn't have the CARB sticker. I didn't need it anyway though.

Not all will be in the same bag.

Don't bother calling Greddy, they'll tell you to call the dealer who you bought it from so you're right in calling Ravenwing. While you're at it, definitely ask them for the CARB sticker because (again) Greddy will defer you to the dealer. It's also a good idea to ask them to order you another block to oil feed line adapter, just in case you screw up and break the one that comes with it. Trust me.

That happened to me a long time ago. Everything is in the same bag except the carb sticker and the FPR.

Call Greddy directly GREDDY PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS

They need to send you the CARB sticker. You can see my other posts on the subject but they told me they can only give it to someone with an original reciept.
Hearing you say you did not get it really pisses me off about Greddy. Also do not be so sure that the sticker will help anyway - there was a post from another that had the sticker and they still had to pull it all off to get Smog cert.
Good luck

someone around here probably has a sticker, but I'd just return the damn thing and order elsewhere if it's missing THAT much.

Irvine? Hell, I may just drive up there then. I'm assuming the main office is open at least 9 to 5.

Before I go rampaging on about it though, I just want to be sure- there *is* supposed to be a sticker, correct?

My kit was also missing the sticker and I had to get the car smoged at a referee station I sent my friend down to Greddy in Irvine and they gave him a sticker on the spot after they saw the original reciept. With the stupid sticker and all the paper work from this site, that was also missing from my kit, I was able to pass with flying colors. I wasnt there but he said they were very helpfull and willing to help me out.

Sounds like Greddy really needs to step up on quality control before they ship stuff out.

APC = Pure Crap.

When I had a Civic VX, I bought the "billet" short **** kit. One month goes by and I snapped that thing like a twig.

APC=the king of ricer gear for your car.

I'm not suprised that the shift kit snapped considering all their stuff is manufactured overseas in taiwan, indonesia, india.

They should change the name to RPC,ricer performance crap.

So how was the referee station experience? Did they act like ****'s? What would they have done if you had not had all the paperwork and sticker?

Belive it or not they were actually helpfull. I took the paperwork down but no sticker i didnt have one They told me no sticker no pass but they told me before I paid and had the car tested, that was cool. I sent my friend to get my sticker and when I went back the car passed on the first try. I did however almost fail for having a A/F ratio gauge because it was tapped into the stock o2 sensor ,but they let that go after I whined like a baby. It was not an experiance I want to have again but not totally bad. Oh ya the car passed with 1.8 injectors and a rx7 airflowmeter on it.
