great job on completing the turbo project! hope you have tons of fun with it once its all buttoned up. Have any updated pictures?

Oil filter was on. I did remove the intake manifold support bracket last time I changed the oil so there was a little extra room.
|
na3turbo - ill be taking pictures in the middle of next week
ill post in a new thread so people dont have to scroll through the whole thing to see them Bryceness - you can run your car with out that bracket??? |
Yeah. I'd call the bracket a bit of over-engineering on Mazda's part. Tons of people on here removed theirs or never even had one to begin with.

Ok, i just took it for its first royal beating,
and dam,, i was loving it my gf was following me in her civic we would be side by side in 2nd she would get on it, I'd wait a second or 2, then I would get on it, shift early, maybe at 5 -5.5k then total rape.... |
What PSI are you running?
|
He's most likely at the stock 5-6psi.
|
4-5 * LOL, havnt tightened my wastegate
but its ok, 4-5 feels great |
Will it catch third or light the tires up in second? I need details......
I can't wait till I have mine going. |
lights them up in second,
but i think thats due to the 195's and the fact its stupid cold |
and its exactly at 4lbs, i need to tighten the wastegate, but first, im going to check the gauge, make sure it reads correctly, dont want to add boost if gauge is faulty
|
when you say tighten the wastegate, what do you mean by that?
|
search is ur friend
but when u tighten the wastegate on the greddy kit u can squeeze another pound or so from the base greddy kit and it also stops small vibrations some members had |
You tighten the wastegate rod until the flapper is snug and doesn't rattle. In new Greddy kits, it comes adjusted too loose and rattles. You should only tighten it more than that if you have upgraded your fueling system so you can supply enough fuel for the extra boost.
