Default Helper Spring Question

I'm getting the usual greddy boost spike and have the bits to install a helper spring. I read through the the posts on here and on the net.

I'm using a MBC and would like to know where to set the rod going into the waste gate actuator with the helper spring attached, its currently adjusted to the last thread.

Any advice that will speed up the adjustment of the spring/rod or other ways to get rid of the spike are much appreciated.

My set up is Mk 1 1990 1.6, greddy, bipes, O2 clamp, DIY FMIC, 2.5" exhaust, 265cc injectors, forge valve etc. So lots to do.

Looking for a steady 8psi without a spike to 10-11 psi in the 3k rpm range.

Here is where i'm at.
