Atfer you wrap the heater hoses, do you still let the hose closest to drivers side rest on the down pipe?

I wouldn't. Tie the hose outta the way or trim it short to pull it away from the pipe.

:werd: don't let anything touch the downpipe- it'll burn up even the fire wrap. I've used a DEI shield for a large hose laid out flat like a blanket between the heater hoses and downpipe. Works well as a shield and provides good air circulation.

how are you guys keeping your hoses out of the way of the downpipe? the begi downpipe is massive and pushes up against one of the hoses.
i've just got some kind of heatfoil in between them rightnow. |
^ Take a pry bar and bend the heater hose out of the way of the downpipe.

I zipped-tie mine together and it pulls the outlet off the DP and closer to the intlet hose.

I was thinking about cutting the 90* portion of that pipe running off the manifold and reattaching the hose so it would be closer to the block and away from the downpipe. Does anyone think this is bad?
