Ebay Hows this turbo kit???

I was checking out turbo kits for NB and they seem pretty hard to come by. You guys/gals have any opinoins on this kit.....

eBay Motors: JDM'S 1998-1999 MIATA MX5 1.8L T25/T28 TURBO KIT 98 99 (item 140304900434 end time Mar-31-09 16:15:30 PDT)

The intercoller looks a little small but other than that it sounds okay to me. Do you think this would be a good "complete setup"? I know in the future I would have to upgrade the clutch and a few other things(maybe a bigger intercooler).

never mind. I searched around a bit more and found my answer. Is there a "TRUE TURBO KIT" for NB. It seems that every complete kit is missing some sort of main part. Whether its a fuel managment, downpipe, or something else! Is there a actuall bolt on kit for these damn miatas(NB)! I just want to buy a complete kit in whole, spend a day or two putting it on, and ride the FU*K out of it. (im also just venting, getting pissed)

Begi and FM both have kits for the NB. How much do you want to spend? They start at $1900 and go up from there. Set a budget and pick one.

It will be tight if you want any sort of engine management. If you are willing to go with 6 psi or so you can get by without a clutch and IC. After that, you will need an ECU, clutch, IC and that runs it up there a bit. The new Begi Shanghai kit is in the $1245 range with a China Charger. That would leave some money for management. The Adaptronic is around $1000, clutch is $250 and IC can be a DIY Ebay deal with pipes and couplers for around $200.

I put together everything for mine in pieces, some new some used, DIY parts etc. and ended up at $2000 for everything. Not gonna throw it in in a couple of days though.

Plan for more than a couple days to set it up #1

Stein had a good idea.

Or instead of the adaptronic you could build a megasquirt for your NB. Keeep searching, there is more information here than you'll will be able to digest.

Mayhem,
Look in every forum and read every sticky.

Particularly, go to the BS forum and click on the STICKY, EVERY MIATA WEBSITE YOU'LL EVER NEED.

Then go to the VENDORS forum, and visit all of their websites.

Ebay kits?

This question has been beaten like Rihanna. Read old threads in here for a few weeks before you spend a bunch of money on a mistake. Lots of good info disseminated in here in the past.

lolz ya right after I posted my post the guy right above me had a post on why not to buy that exact same kit and he listed many reasons why ebay sellers are basically being dusches for listing their turbo kits as "complete" kits. It seems to me i still have some reading up to do. this miata site is probably the most knowledgable one I have seen. too much info for me to digest in two months.

Before you get flamed too badly, I got you a welcome gift. Before you post any other questions please do a couple of important things.

First, go into "User CP" and add your location so it comes up under your name like everyone else. Second, while in User CP click on signature and add details of your car there so that when you ask advice, those attempting to give advice will understand your specific needs.

And finally, here is the gift I mentioned. This will protect you from horrible flamings if used correctly. It can also bring you great peace and understanding. It may even make you the envy of your neighbors. Use it wisely before every itch to make a new thread, and you will be protected by it's magical powers.

If you aren't going to use what I got for you, at least give it to someone who will.

P.S. Don't **** with samnavy.

I don't think you can spell it wrong considering Shanghai is just the written English approximation of a Chinese sound, which has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but I've been writing a research paper for the better part of a day so I'm crack monkey ranting right now....

+1 on the Shanghai kit.
